Mrs. Johnson's 6th grade science classes learned about energy efficiency through the OG&E Living Wise Program. They were all given items to take home, to help make their own homes more energy efficient.

November is Lung Cancer Awareness Month, and LMS was thrilled to have Allie Kelsey, from the Arkansas Tobacco Education Initiative visiting our 5th/6th grade Science classes to shed light on the dangers of vaping, smoking and using tobacco products. Mrs. Kelsey educated our students about the importance of a tobacco-free life and risks associated with vaping, smoking, and using tobacco. Knowledge is power, so let's be dedicated to empowering our students by raising awareness and protecting our children from the harms of tobacco.

⭐️Be Pro. Be Proud.⭐️
We had an incredible opportunity for our 8th grade students today.
The Be Pro Be Proud Mobile Career Workshop visited our campus! This 75 foot tractor trailer allowed our students to experience 15 different career simulators/stations. We had 7 student ambassadors who were trained to operate each station and guide their classmates. It was an awesome day at LMS!

Project Prevent Mission Day💥
Our LMS Project Prevent Group brainstormed and came up with an awesome service project for Red Ribbon Week. They designed bookmarks with drug free messages, voted on one, and then they were printed out and packed for our elementary students. The mission today was to remind younger students to stay away from drugs.
This awesome group of LMS students know the importance of encouraging and being positive, drug free, role models to the younger students.

LMS says Boo to Drugs! Check out all the awesome costumes.
Happy Halloween! 🎃
