Our 5th graders had an amazing day at the ACHE Research Institute Health and Wellness Center! 🏥🌱
They explored culinary techniques, learned about healthy food choices, and participated in an art workshop focusing on mental health and wellness. Our students enjoyed a delicious and nutritious lunch they helped prepare!

7th Graders have been working on their World Countries Project! 🌍
Mrs. Dupre’s seventh graders competed in a mystery rock lab. The students collected data on the color, streak, hardness, ability to break, luster and other characteristics to identify 18 unknown rock or mineral samples. They then had to take their data and compare it, to discover the names of those samples. These students identified the most samples collected and were rewarded for being the top geologists in their class.

The Lavaca Golden Arrow coaching staff is hosting their first annual ARROW F.P.S Speed Camp this summer! Please share with anyone in town who will have a 3rd-12th grade football player in the fall.
A big thanks to UAFS International Student Program for bringing professors, staff, and international students to talk to our 7th and 8th grade students about studying abroad! Students were given the opportunity to learn about study abroad options and ask questions about other countries and cultures.
Mrs. Winchester’s 7th grade math students created scale drawings of biking and/or sidewalk areas in different areas of Lavaca for safety.
It was an awesome day at the Cube Competition at GFESC! LMS was represented well.
The team consisted of 8th grade students- Daxon Kremers, Cooper Kremers, Emerson Baker, Chase Kilbreath, and 5th grade students- Xade Hamrick & Random Roberson.
Chase Kilbreath made the Top 10 for Individual Speed.

LMS Project Prevent Youth Coalition wanted to promote their mission by adding something for students to use at recess. They decided on 9 Square in the Air!
The group added positive messages about living tobacco and nicotine free as a reminder to all who play.
