Mrs. Cooper began teaching at Lavaca High School in 2007. She currently teaches Visual Art in the upper middle school and Art 1 and 2 at the high school.

She is a 1986 graduate of Paris High School and is also a graduate of Arkansas Tech University with a Bachelor’s degree in Art.

Mrs. Cooper and her husband, Bruce, live on a farm in Paris and together have two sons, Taylor (wife Victoria) and Jeremy (wife Meghan) and three grandsons - Noah, Max and Dolan.
