Securely Share Concerns

The safety and well-being of our students and staff is our top priority. We recognize the need for a safe, confidential way to report concerns or potential threats, ensuring that those who come forward feel protected.

To ensure that everyone has access to a safe, secure, and confidential way to report issues, we use an Anonymous Reporting Form. This form is designed to give students, parents, and community members the ability to share information confidentially, so that appropriate actions can be taken swiftly and effectively. Anonymous Reporting ensures that voices are heard and the necessary steps are taken to maintain a safe environment for all.

In addition, report any other issues or behaviors that could affect the safety, mental, or emotional well-being of students and staff.

It is essential to report these concerns promptly to help maintain a safe and supportive environment for everyone in the school community.

Arkansas Statutes on Reporting

The LEARNs Act mandates that all school districts implement clear policies for reporting incidents such as bullying, threats, and suspicious behaviors. Schools must provide specific procedures for students, staff, and community members to report concerns, ensuring that these reports are treated seriously and investigated thoroughly. The law emphasizes the need for swift action to address potential threats and create a safe environment by holding individuals accountable for harmful behavior.

False Reporting

It is important to remember that making false reports is a serious offense under Arkansas law. This law is intended to protect the integrity of the reporting process. Individuals found deliberately submitting false information may face legal consequences, ensuring that investigations focus on legitimate concerns, and false claims do not undermine the safety of others. It is essential to report only accurate and truthful information to help maintain the credibility and effectiveness of the reporting system.

Protection for Those Who Report Anonymously

Arkansas law provides protection to individuals who report bullying, threats, or suspicious behavior in good faith, including those who choose to remain anonymous. Individuals who come forward with safety concerns are shielded from retaliation under Arkansas Code 6-18-514, ensuring that students, parents, and staff can report issues without fear of retribution. This protection fosters a safer school environment by encouraging individuals to share information that could prevent harm, knowing that their identity will remain confidential if desired.
