Overview
Lavaca School District’s English Learners (EL) support program provides many resources and services to assist teachers in their efforts to provide support ELs in the development of the skills needed to communicate effectively in English both in and out of school.

The primary philosophy of the Lavaca School District’s EL program is to take into consideration the individual differences within our community which builds our school’s diverse family.  Teachers endeavor to help students, no matter their differences and barriers, within their educational journey.  The EL program’s purpose is to meet the needs of students whose first language is not English and need more support mastering the English Language.
