Softball
Coach Shaffer (Coach B) began coaching in Lavaca in 2023 as an assistant coach for the softball team. In 2024 Coach B is the head softball coach and assistant volleyball coach. She also teaches PE at the Elementary School.
Coach B is an Oklahoma native who graduated from Arkansas Tech (2019) with a BS in Rehabilitation Science and Psychology then went on to receive her Masters in Teaching from UCA in 2023. Coach B played Softball at Arkansas Tech
Coach Werschem has taught within Lavaca School District since 2022 and coached since 2023. She currently teaches 7/8 Social Studies. She has coached club/travel teams in volleyball for five years as well as coaching league softball and basketball teams for over ten years. Currently, she is the Assistant Softball coach.
Coach Werschem is a graduate of Lavaca High School (1998). She continued her education at the University of Arkansas at Fort Smith where she earned a BA in History with Social Studies Teacher Licensure (2018).
Coach Werschem and her girls have all attended and graduated from Lavaca and are all proud to be Arrows.
